Throughout history, the Christian church has divided itself over many different issues, but we must remain united in the truth of the Gospel. In Galatians 2:1-10, Paul was furious that the Christian church was being led back into spiritual bondage by false brothers. These false brothers were preventing the gentile churches from experiencing and enjoying the freedom we have in Christ. Through his letter, Paul aimed to bring this church back to the heart of the Gospel. He powerfully shows that true unity comes when we live from our identity as the bride of Christ.
