In Acts 2:1-47, the Spirit of God shows up in a very dramatic way. Luke recounts an experience involving the elements of wind and fire through vivid auditory and visual descriptions. This was a divine encounter that affected their ability to speak. He says that they were filled with the Spirit. What does that mean? As you will see, when God shows up, He changes our perceptions, purpose, prayers, and how we relate to others. He also changes how we use our time, resources, and talents. When we are filled with the Spirit, we are changed and empowered by God. The primary outcome of being filled with the Holy Spirit is the commitment and ability to become witnesses of Christ with his power. When we are filled with the Spirit, we are able to effectively share the life-changing gospel with others. Please pray for Pastor Steve and the team as they prepare the service. We are looking forward to what God is going to do this Sunday!
