Breaking Down the Walls

Let me paint a general picture, in very simple terms, of what happened in chapter 6. God gave them a mission. The mission seemed impossible from their human perspective. There were many obstacles to overcome. If they were going to be successful they would have to do it God’s way. They are obedient and God helps them to overcome some very huge obstacles, and God gets the glory. The mission is impossible in our own strength, and at times the obstacles are so great that it can be very discouraging. Where is the money going to come from? Where are the people going to come from? There are people in opposition. There is so much to do and so little resources. It all seems so impossible. Here’s the deal. If we are obedient to his way of doing things his mission for us will be a success, and he will get the glory.
