Abraham’s journey to maturity was not a straight line. He had ups and downs just like we do. How many of you have made mistakes in your past that you regret? I certainly have. Satan would have us live in regret and shame. He wants to paralyze us. Jesus died for our shame and wants to free us. We don’t have to live in shame. We can give it all to Jesus. He wants to use those very things that cause us the most shame to build our faith muscles and give him glory.
Abraham was no different than we are.
His whole life was about building his faith muscles. His life was about learning to trust in God’s promise.
