“When we pray, what is the object of our faith? If we are praying for healing, is our faith in the hope that we will be healed? Is our faith in a certain outcome of our prayers? If our faith is in God, that he always does the right thing, that he will never let us down, that all things work for the good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose, then the outcome is secondary. The main thing is that we are growing through the crucible of life with Jesus, and in our relationship of trust with him.”
