DwellWhere do we find help in a time of waiting? This Sunday, we are starting a new Advent sermon series called “Dwell.” We will be reflecting on what it means that God is with us as we wait. In Romans 8:26-28, Apostle Paul reminds us that, in the midst of our anticipation for things to change, we are not left alone. As we wait for the promises of God to unfold, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in our weakness, offering a source of divine assistance beyond our comprehension. Paul assures us that our help comes from the very Spirit of God dwelling within us. Moreover, the passage assures believers that God works all things together for good for those who love Him, providing profound comfort in the uncertainty of waiting. As we embark on this Advent journey, let us reflect on the significance of waiting and recognize that, in our patient expectation, the Spirit is actively at work, aligning all things according to God’s purpose for our lives.
