This past sunday, we dove into the relationship between prayer and the armour of God with Pastor Steve. We saw how deeply we need the power of prayer in our life. Without prayer, we are going to fail in this fight. The armour, the skills, the systems, the resources are not enough on their own. You can’t win the battle with your refined efforts, knowledge and strength. You can’t succeed by doing better or creating some New Year’s resolutions. The armour must be under the control of the Spirit of God as we encounter problems and challenges in life. It’s the food for the soul, the fuel to find victory against the attacks of Satan. It’s the oxygen for the growing Christian life.
