Deny Yourself

Text: Matthew 16:24-28

Last week we started a new series, “Why did Jesus say that?” This Sunday, we will be talking about why Jesus said, “Deny yourself and take up your cross.” Jesus says that we need to give our entire self over to Him or the outcome is problematic. Rather than living a life that is dependent on “your desires” and “your pursuit of happiness” (which always ends in disappointment), you will find something more remarkable.
