What comes to mind when you think about conflict? How do we respond? Our natural tendency is to avoid, hide or pretend that it didn’t happen. Or we react in anger because things didn’t go the way we hoped for. We may even judge the other person without knowing all the facts. Why is conflict so hard for us? In the book of James, he answers this question. If we want to grow as followers of Christ and as a church, we need to embrace the little moments of friction. James tells us that we need to humble ourselves in conflict or our pride gets in the way. When this happens, we give Satan a foothold in our life. This week pastor Steve is going to be looking how disagreements are opportunities to become more like Christ. The bigger the conflict. The bigger the opportunity for growth and victory.
