Where do you go when you are hurting, tired, and feel like you want to give up? What name do you call on when you need help? The name of Jesus is like no other name. Just to whisper this name as a prayer can drive out the darkness. Today, we will focus on the four names given to the Christmas Child in a prophecy from Isaiah that occurred 700 years before Jesus was born. Those four names were 1) Wonderful Counsellor 2) Mighty God 3) Everlasting Father 4) Prince of Peace. These names of Jesus are one of the clearest and most meaningful Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. Isaiah’s role was to point Israel in the right direction so they could be ultimately be delivered by the light that has a name.
