The Characters of Christmas: Wise MenCards for Christmas This Sunday we will encounter the Wise Men who traveled to meet the infant Jesus. In a certain way the Wise Men seem very familiar to us, as foreign kings we recognize from our nativity sets. But they stand out from the rest of the characters in a number of interesting ways. Perhaps we actually have more in common with the wealthy foreign Wise Men than we may think, even more than the shepherds or Mary and Joseph. We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday! Christmas Services
We are looking forward to our special Christmas services this year, but we will need your help to ensure they are a success. These services are specially planned for visitors to come and experience our church and the love of Jesus. The Caroling Service on Dec 15th at 10am will include: 1. Christmas Carols 2. A special performance from the children 3. Christmas Treats! The Christmas Eve Service at 5pm will include: 1. Some upbeat and traditional Christmas carols 2. An encouraging message about the birth of Jesus 3. A candlelit singing of "Silent Night" Here's a few ways you can participate: 1. Invite your friends, neighbours, coworkers...or anyone really! Forward the invitation email you have received, use a printed invitation, or share the Christmas Eve Reel on Social Media 2. Sign up for greeting or serving. Email josh@crbaptist.bc.ca 3. Please pray that God will use our Christmas Eve service for His glory! |
Renkema Baby ShowerDec 11th at 7pm Come and celebrate the birth of Neveah Renkema with Kaylee and the other women of CRBC. This is an important ministry as we surround a new mother with our care and support. We'll be meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Dec 11th at 7pm. Bring a savoury or sweet to share. |

Griefshare: Surviving the Holidays
Facing this season while grieving can sometimes feel like taking one step forward and two steps back. But like a trusted guide, Griefshare's Surviving the Holidays event will prepare you to navigate the season’s changes. This event will be held at the Ocean Crest Community Church, led by Betty Tiede.
