The Fruit of the SpiritDo you lead with a rod, or a spirit of gentleness? As we near the end of our series on Fruit of the Spirit, our sermon on Sunday brings us to the Fruit of Gentleness. What does it even mean to be gentle? I’m sure we have some ideas of what being gentle looks like, but do we view God as gentle? If we read through the entire Bible, would we say God is gentle? How does our view of God affect the way we treat others? As we open God’s Word, we will see how God has consistently dealt gently with His people throughout time, that Jesus came not to browbeat, but to give us an easy yolk. Our call as Christians then, is to be gentle and our gentleness is to be evident to all. Whether we are disappointed, confused, angry, or any other emotion, we are to walk in humility, and gentleness with patience. Please pray for the team as they prepare for the service. We are looking forward to what God is going to do this Sunday! For more infomation visit:

Kick-Off Sunday!September 8th Kick-Off Sunday is coming soon! It's the official start day for our ministres like small groups, youth group, and Freedom Session (the rest of our upcoming ministries start throughout September), and so we celebrate with a big picnic. There will be some amazing food, facepaint, bubbles, bingo, tug of war, prizes, and lots more. Please bring a chair for the event, and we’ll also have some tables set up for those who find it difficult to eat from their lap. We will need volunteers for the various teams such as meal prep, cleanup, or for the various activities. On Sunday, there will be a sign up sheet for volunteers in the foyer following the service. We also will be requesting food donations for the meal. There will be little tickets with the items we need and the date we need them by, and you can grab a few of those in the foyer after the service. So mark that down in your calender, Sept 8th! Fun for the whole family, and bring a friend. |
Small Group Facilitators Needed!
We have an amazing problem right now in our church. Many people are wanting to join Small Groups! This means we need more homes and people to facilitate more groups. Maybe you aren’t sure what is needed to become a small group facilitator, but you want to know more. Or maybe you feel like you aren’t qualified to be a small group facilitator. Luckily, our vision here at CRBC is equipping people to take their next steps with Jesus, and we want to be a part of that process with you. Please be praying about this, and reach out to Josh@crbaptist.bc.ca with any questions, and also plan to come out on Sept 22nd. Small Group Facilitator Training Sept 22nd, following the service. |
